Apple Orchard Opening Monday, August 15th with Gala, Honeycrisp, Ruby Mac and Smoothies.

The wait is over!  It is apple season!

Gala, Honeycrisp, Ruby Mac and Smoothies!

Bartlett pears in limited quantities are available too.  Pre-picked only.  Offered in 2 gallon bucket size (11.5#) for $7.00.

Honeycrisp:  Everyone's favorite to eat!  Sweet.  Large and beautiful this year.  Can use for applesauce and baking too.  Steal of a deal compared to the grocery stores!

Gala:  Great for eating.  Sweet.  Small to medium size.  Great for taking in lunches.  Great for cooking/baking and applesauce.

Ruby Mac:  Tart/sweet, crunch.  Beautiful red apple.  Part Macintosh for those of you who are use to those!  Good for baking and applesauce too. 

Smoothies:  An early variety of Golden Delicious.  Super crunchy.  Some like Golden Delicious for pies because they keep their shape pretty well.  For applesauce, I like to mix them with other apples. 

Hours:  Monday thru Saturdays, 8am to 6pm.  Sundays, 12pm to 6pm.

We will have Gala apples ready for sure, starting opening day, Monday, August 15th!

Galas are a great eating apple and a nice sweet one for cooking and applesauce.  They are a medium to small size apple, so lots of people love them for their kid's lunches. 

As it gets closer, I will be seeing if the Ruby Mac and Smoothie will be ready on the 15th too.

We will also have some Bartlett pears.  The pears will be available pre-picked only.  They are available in 2 gallon size buckets.  (When we pick them, I'll check on how many pounds that would be.)  $7.00 per 2 gallon bucket.

Gravenstein are all Done for the Season. More Apples Coming up in a Couple Weeks.

I'm sorry to say that the Gravensteins are already gone.   Thanks to all who came and were lucky enough to get some, and sorry to those who weren't able to get some.  In a couple more years, it won't be so tough when the new row of Gravenstein come on.

We have a couple week break now, but next ready will be a toss up between Gala, Smoothie and Ruby Mac.  I'll let you know what's ready, when I know!
