Season Is Still Going Strong!

What wonderful weather we are still getting this fall! Perfect weather for getting ouside and picking some apples.

Also perfect weather to hunt down the orchards largest apple! The Largest Apple Contest is still in full swing and it sure is fun to see the giant apples you all have found! Pictured is Terry holding two of the largest apples to be found so far. The winner receives THREE FREE BUCKETS OF APPLES! The contest ends November 15th, so plenty of time to find the prize winning apple!

We are having a great season and plan to be open through to Thanksgiving this year and possibly the week after or until we run out of apples. We will keep you posted on our closing date for this year.

Gala, Jonathan, Red Delicious and Pears are officially done for the season. Several other rows have just barely opened and are loaded with apples!

We still have plenty of pumpkins for those that have lost their carved pumpkins to the frost but still would like a decorated porch for Thanksgiving. All pumpkins are now $1.

LARGEST APPLE CONTEST

We have been blown away at the size of some of the apples you all have found in our orchard! Some of them can get SO big! This has inspired us to come up with a fun activity for the orchard. A Largest Apple Contest!

It’s very simple, we have a scale at the entrance to the orchard, and whoever hauls in the heaviest apple will win THREE FREE BUCKETS OF APPLES! Our orchard attendant will weigh the apple for you and mark down the weight in our log along with your name and phone number or email.

The contest will go for three weeks and end on November 15th. This will leave two weeks left in the season for the winner to be able to come and claim their prize.

The apple has to be found in our orchard but can be any variety that is out there. We have found some monsters in all the different varieties so it should be interesting to see what variety the winning apple will be! Pictured below is what would be considered a Fuji apple on the larger size on the right, and on the left is a monster Fuji we found on Friday! It is the size of someones face!

Good luck to you all, and happy hunting!

All Apples Are Now Ready!

Braeburn is finally Ripe and Ready! This means all of our apples are officially open!

Braeburn, Rome, Cripps pink, Fuji, Grannysmith, and Gold Rush are all of our storing apples and with the right care can last for months.

This is such a fun time to come to the orchard. No matter what apple you find, it is Ready to be picked! No more wondering if you are down a ripe row or not.

There are 13 varieties currently available, so you are sure to find a flavor you enjoy!

Tomatoes are officially done for the season, but we still have plenty of Pumpkins to choose from that are looking for front porches to decorate for Halloween!
