Thanksgiving Week

We had another wonderful weekend at the orchard! Thank you all for coming out to pick our apples and supporting our farm! We love seeing you all and getting to visit while you’re picking apples.

The rain is here this week so we plan to be self serve for a few days. Plan to bring exact change and drop payment in the office door.

Jonagold are officially done for the season but we still have six other varieties for picking!

Seven Varieties Still Available

Still needing hats out in the orchard! We have another beautiful weekend of weather and plenty of apples to pick still!

We have plenty of apples for all of your Thanksgiving recipes. The classic apple pie apple, the Grannysmith, is still plentiful in the orchard. We have also heard from a lot of you that the Cripps Pink and Braeburn also are a favorite for pies. One of our favorite Thanksgiving dinner additions is fresh warmed cider made with Gold Rush apples. They are so great for juicing.

Jonagold are just about done and will probably be gone by Monday, so if you were still hoping to get a few more of those, make sure to come out this weekend!

We plan to be open until December 1st and possibly a few days into the following week depending on weather and apple supply.

Largest Apple Contest Winner

The winner of The Largest Apple Contest is Annie Short! She found a giant Jonagold weighing in at 1.02 pounds! So many large apples were found and Annie’s apple won by a VERY slim margin. Just .01 more than the next largest apple. Thanks to everyone that came out and entered in the contest!

Annie gets to pick her THREE FREE BUCKETS of apples between now and the close of the season which should be about two weeks from now.

We still have a lot of variety to choose from in the orchard, with the majority of the remaining apples being storing apples that can last for months.
