We are having a lot of fun getting ready for the 2021 Season! The apples are looking great and set to be ready around the middle of August. Our tomato walls are taking shape and will also be ready, along side the tomatoes, the middle of August. Last year we sold out of pumpkins the week before Halloween, so this year we have doubled our pumpkin crop and added in even more fun variety in shape and color.

Our tomato and pumpkin plants are rotated in our field every year to keep our soil at its healthiest. This years rotation left us with some open space at the front of the field. We were excited to brainstorm some new ideas on how to fill those empty spaces. One of our ideas, that we planted this week, is U-pick Watermelon! That’s right, this year you can come out to the farm and pick your own watermelon right from the field!

We have some other ideas for the rest of the space and will post about them as soon as they are planted as well.

Can’t wait to see you all!

Spring is Here!

Blossoms are in full bloom and our seasonal workers have arrived! These bees sure work hard and it is just fascinating to watch them in action. Excited for Spring to be in full swing and that much closer to another apple season!

Pruning Season

Winter on the farm means pruning season. And we are in the thick of it! It is the only time of year you will find ladders in our orchard. We work hard all winter pruning to keep our trees healthy and the perfect height for picking, even for our youngest customers!
