The Ripe and Ready list just keeps getting better! This week we added Ruby Jon and Red Delicious.
Ruby Jon are our #1 pick for applesauce. They have an amazing flavor and break down beautifully. If you leave a small amount of skin on during cooking, your applesauce will even turn pink!
Red delicious can sometimes get a bad wrap. But fresh off the tree, these apples are great! Crunchy and mild in flavor, they make a great snack.
Our squash are ripening and beginning to be ready in the field and at the stand! This year we have acorn, butternut, spaghetti, and delicata. Our gourds are ready too! We always enjoy seeing the different fun gourds being picked out of the field.
Pumpkins are doing wonderfully. We still have a huge supply of decorative and classic carving pumpkins available.
Watermelon are done for the season! Thanks so much for picking and enjoying these with us. We have had a lot of fun growing them and will look forward to having them again next year.
U-pick flowers are still in full bloom. Whether you are looking for zinnias, or a stroll through our sunflowers, we have got you covered.

Beautiful Weather for Picking
Another beautiful weekend is here with wonderful weather for picking!
This week in the Apple orchard, our Melrose and Golden Delcious have been added to the Ripe and Ready list.
Melrose are a wonderful apple. Similar in taste to the Honeycrisp and Jonagold, just a hair less sweet and a bit more crunchy. They are wonderful for baking, applesauce, and eating.
Golden Delicious are one of the most underrated apples. Some people assume they will be soft and mushy since they have expirienced that with store bought Golden Delicious. However, fresh off the tree, Goldens are fantastic! They are sweet, crunchy and juicy. They are also rated the second best apple for apple pies. Second only to the Grannysmith.
Tomatoes in the Tomato rows are doing amazing! This sunshine has really led to an abundance of ripe and flavorful tomatoes. It is the perfect time to come pick before the rains start.
Our Sunflower stroll is in full swing! There is no charge to wander through the sunflowers, and they can be picked for $1 per stem.
Watermelons are winding down for the year. We have a good supply at the stand, and with some searching they can still be found in the field. But don't miss out! We expect these to be done for the year by mid week next week.
Pumpkins are proving to be a fun time! We have been amazed at the fun varieties being found in the patch. We would love to see pictures you all have taken of your pumpkin displays!

Ruby Mac and Pumpkins
The Ripe and Ready list just keeps getting more exciting! This week we have added Ruby Mac.
Ruby Mac is a beautiful ruby red apple that has a great crunch and a super fun sweet flavor with a bit of tartness. They are wonderful to add for eating, baking, and applesauce. We especially love to mix them with Jonagold, or another sweet apple, to bring a complex flavor to our sauces and pies.
We have been anxiously awaiting the ripening of our pumpkins, and the time has finally come! We have an amazing varity this year. We have a whole pumpkin patch dedicated to our fun decorative pumpkins and another patch next to it to find classic pumpkins. In our decorative patch you can find all sorts of unique pumpkins. Pink, blue, red, white, warty, speckled, striped, polka dot, and more!! For our classic patch, we spent a good chunk of our off season searching for the perfect orange pumpkin with the perfect big stem. We looked long and hard and are quite happy with the pumpkins we found. We can't wait for you all to come check them out!
Watermelon, Tomatoes, and Pears are still doing great! We have loved seeing the great watermelon and tomatoes being picked out of the field. We will have watermelon for a couple weeks more and we will continue to have tomatoes in abundance until the first frost.
