Pumpkin Hunting!

We have great pumpkin hunting weather this weekend! This year we have two pumpkin patches. The first patch you will come across is full of our fun colorful decorative pumpkins. Just past the first patch, behind the tomatoes, is our second secret patch! It is FULL of larger classic orange pumpkins that are waiting to be taken home and carved! Make sure to venture out to the secret patch to see what gems you can find! Pumpkins are 35 cents per pound for classic orange, and 45 cents per pound for colored designer pumpkins.
This week our Fuji and Rome Beauty have ripened! Fuji is a crisp classic apple that is great for eating, pies, and applesauce. When made into applesauce it almost tastes like it already has some spice in it! Rome Beauty are a beautiful red apple and are wonderful for baking, especially baking apples whole. Fuji and Rome are also our first two storing apples to ripen this season. If stored correctly they can last 3-6 months!
This brings our Ripe Apple total to 11! With this many varieties ready you are sure to find the perfect apple!

Fall is in Full Swing!

Fall is in full swing at the orchard and it is a great time to come out! We have quite the variety to choose from with 8 different apples Ripe and Ready to pick. This week we have added Red Delicious to the mix!
We have noticed a lot of people who have not been to the orchard yet asking if we provide ladders for picking. Our trees are designed to be closer to the size of a hedge row to make picking a breeze even for our youngest visitors. No ladders needed! 
We still have a good amount of tomatoes already picked and ready at the stand. U-pick still available too! 
Pumpkins are doing great and it has been so fun to see all the color and variety that has been coming out of the patch! Our fun colors do sell out first, so don't miss you chance to find the unique pumpkins.

Here Comes The Rain

Here comes the rain! Our tomatoes are finally doing great and now the rain is coming. To prevent our great big ripe slicers from splitting due to the rain, we picked a BUNCH of boxes to have ready at the stand for you all for We-pick this weekend. We have some Romas ready for We-pick as well. We-pick tomatoes are $1.25 per pound and U-pick is still at $1 per pound. There is a bountiful amount still on the vine that are ripening and not in danger of splitting, so we will still have tomatoes for weeks to come!
This weekend we will also have Pre-picked boxes of Ruby Mac at the stand for those that don't want to pick in the rain. Our pre-picked Beilke boxes are $18 a piece and are exactly one full bucket of apples. Ruby Mac are a very fun sweet/tart apple that are a deep red color, crunchy, and great for applesauce, pies, and eating. We can also do other varieties in a Beilke box with advance notice. Feel free to call or email us to order other varieties. 
Liberty and Melrose have also been added to the Ripe and Ready list! Liberty is a fun red apple that are the best for drying. Melrose is a favorite of our employees and is known for being similar to the Jonagold but just a tiny bit less sweet. 
Honeycrisp are almost gone! I repeat, HONEYCRISP ARE ALMOST GONE! We will most likely sell out completely of this highly sought after apple within the next two days. If you were still hoping to find some, I would come visit this weekend!
Pumpkins are open!! We have quite the variety this year, but our unique colored pumpkins always seem to sell fast. Make sure to visit soon if you were hoping for some fun colors!
