The sunshine is sticking around and giving us another beautiful weather weekend for Apple Picking! This week we have added Fuji and Rome Beauty to the Ripe and Ready list.
Fuji is a very popular, sweet, crunchy fall apple. They are great for snacking, baking, applesauce, and the first storing apple of the year to pop up. When stored well, our storing apples can last anywhere from 3-6 months! Last year we sold out of these in less than five days, so don't miss your chance to pick some Fuji this season.
Rome Beauty is a beautiful, ruby red apple. These are wonderful for baking whole, and lovely in a pie as well. Rome Beauty is also a storing apple.
Pears are back! The Bosc pears are finally ripe and available, already picked, at the stand! Bosc are a wonderful hard pear that does not need any extra ripening.
Pumpkins are fantastic! We have been amazed by the colors that are coming out of the decorative pumpkin patch, and excited to see how you all carve the traditional pumpkins coming out of the classic patch.
We still have u-pick flowers, gourds, and squash as well.

Largest Apple Contest
The Largest Apple Contest is back! This year we will announce a new winner every Monday for 3 weeks starting on October 9th. The winner each week will receive TWO FREE BUCKETS OF U-PICK APPLES! The contest is judged by weight, so make sure to stop and have your Largest Apple recorded at the stand to be entered!

Sunshine, Liberty, and Pumpkins
The Sunshine returns this weekend! A perfect time to come enjoy the ever expanding Ripe and Ready list. This week we have added Liberty to the list. That makes 10 different varieties of apples to choose from.
Liberty are a fun, bright red apple. They are crisp and sweet-tart and they are our favorite apple to dehydrate.
Pumpkins are ready to be found in the patch! We have been thrilled to see the giant stems on our carving pumpkins, and the color coming out of our decorative patch are so exciting! Mini pumpkins, baking pumkins, gourds and squash are all available at the stand as well as in the field.
Tomatoes are doing fantastic. We did have some cracking in our slicers with the rain, but good ones can still be found, and we have a plentiful amount of lovely Romas ready to be canned.
The sunflower stroll is still going strong! It will last for about another week or two. Make sure to take a stroll after you are done picking.
